Hersheypark Attraction 2012 Update #28 (7-1-11)

Things seem to be moving right along at the construction site. While track is still nowhere to be found, more footers are still being made as well as progress.

Let’s see what’s on-site this week….

It’s hard to imagine that just 6 months ago that this used to be a picnic area.

More footers along the first concrete wall.

I’m guessing those free tickets were discovered here?

It’s hard to tell if they are going to be pouring any footers there or if they just are storing the castings there.

Tree-clearing on the Comet side of the creek. Looks like work may start over there soon.

My, that’s a big footer.

Quite a few on the hillside.

Big because of being in a flood-prone area maybe?

A stake. These are getting rarer and rarer.

They managed to clear out a lot of brush, yet they still kept the old paddleboat there. lol

The bolts in the concrete wall look interesting.

Looks like a new footer is about to go in.

Here’s a view of the lower half of the construction site.

Looks like progress is starting on the other side of the creek.

So that’s what’s new. 🙂
