Hersheypark SkyRush Construction Update #58

Yet again it seems like I am behind on the updates, but for a good reason as you’ll see in Update #59. Last week didn’t have many updates on the fact of the rain. It did flood the construction site, but everything was back to normal by Saturday.

Looks like the lift supports are next on-deck.

Take notice across the street. The number of supports have drastically reduced.

That is probably because most of the taller supports have already been installed (except for the lift hill).

You are looking at what is going to be the section between the curved airtime hill and the last airtime hill.

Hmmm….

They have stored some of the supports on both sides of the hillside.

Looks like a support for one of the turns.

Collumn 42

The left collumn for 44.

The lift supports have shown up. Judging from where they placed them, they are going to have to install the pieces until they can moved down to the other part of the construction site to install the other ones along the hillside.

There’s even some yellow mixed in there.

It’s kind of strange when you think about it. For having only having two supports to hold up the lift hill, you would think that the pieces would be bigger, but since they’ll be grouped together like on Intimidator 305, strength comes in numbers I guess.

I’m calling there Ikea supports since they seem like they go together like assemble-yourself furnature.

Insert bolt into support beam-A…

All the supports seem to be in place for the first drop.

They are also done with the pipework around the concrete boxes.

Just a rough outline…interesting.

It’s starting to get kind of tall.

That looks odd…

The footers for the station and transfer track are now done.

The ones for the brake run look to be soon to follow.

Two Intamins, one picture.

This kind of gives you an idea that the new path is going to cut through the center of one of the supports.

Cinderblocks have shown up. Station perhaps??

An interesting new update is coming up shortly.
