Hersheypark Skyrush Construction Update #77 (1-24-12)

Hey guys, only 122 more days until we Ride the Edge. The updates from here on will be posted to the Keystone Thrills discussion forums since that part of the site has been starting to collect dust. Don’t worry though because this blog isn’t going anywhere, in fact it’s going to feature more variety in the near future. Links are still going to be posted to the updates on the forums and feel free to join them and comment! 🙂

I managed to swing by the Skyrush construction site twice today to check out what they’ve done today and here are a few key points: – The front part of the restrooms under the station will be one floor with the back of them being under the loading station itself. -The upward curve leaving the station has been installed marking the first lift piece to be added. -The track piece that transitions from double to no spine has been added to the first drop. Looks like Skyrush’s first drop is officially 85 degrees. -More of the creekwall has been added and more is about to be started. -Only two ladders are left on the flatbed. Shouldn’t be long until the lift hill will be capped.

About ccron10

Keystone Thrills started in the summer of 2009 when the fansite Hersheypark Crazy and a lesser-known site called ccron10 media joined together. The site first started out as a community forum group and has grown from there. Today, Keystone Thrills is dedicated to providing it's readers with the latest updates and news from parks such as Knoebels, Hersheypark, Dorney Park, and many more.
